Weight Management
Bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT) can address hormonal shifts that contribute to weight-related issues, such as slowed metabolism and fat accumulation, often linked to declining estrogen, testosterone, or thyroid levels.
- Weight gain or fluctuations, especially around the midsection
- Difficulty losing weight despite diet and exercise
- Slowed metabolism leading to reduced calorie burning
- Increased body fat percentage with age-related hormonal decline
Women’s Health
For women, BHRT is commonly used to alleviate perimenopause and menopause symptoms by restoring estrogen and progesterone balance, improving quality of life and reducing risks like bone loss.
- Hot flashes and night sweats
- Vaginal dryness, itching, or discomfort during intercourse
- Urinary issues, such as frequent urination or infections
- Loss of bone density or increased osteoporosis risk
- Painful sex or reduced sexual function
- Dry skin and thinning hair
Men’s Health
In men, BHRT targets andropause (male menopause) by optimizing testosterone levels, helping combat age-related declines in vitality and physical performance.
- Low libido or reduced sexual drive
- Erectile dysfunction or difficulties with sexual performance
- Loss of muscle mass or strength
- Reduced motivation and overall vitality
- Fatigue specific to low testosterone
Hormonal Imbalances
BHRT directly addresses broad hormonal disruptions in both men and women over 40, such as low estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, or thyroid imbalances, which can manifest in systemic symptoms.
- Chronic fatigue or low energy levels
- Mood swings, irritability, anxiety, or depression
- Sleep disturbances or insomnia
- Brain fog, memory issues, or difficulty concentrating
- Headaches or migraines
- Muscle weakness or joint pain/stiffness
Cardiovascular Health
Declining hormones can increase risks for heart issues; BHRT may help mitigate these in appropriate candidates by supporting overall balance.
- Increased risk of heart disease due to hormonal shifts
- Elevated cholesterol or blood pressure fluctuations
Bone and Joint Health
Hormonal declines accelerate bone loss; BHRT can support density and reduce fracture risks, particularly in postmenopausal women.
- Osteoporosis or reduced bone density
- Joint pain or stiffness from hormonal-related inflammation
